You will have an early morning breakfast at 5:30am at your hotel and you will be picked up by your company safari guide that has been assigned to lead you on this safari adventure of a life time at 6:00am, you will embark on this 7-8 hour journey covering about 430km. From here, you will continue with your journey to Queen Elizabeth Park passing through the beautiful countryside hills that have been tamed by locals who are growing bananas and other foods stuffs on the slopes of these hills.

Along the way lookout for sightings of local people engaging in their daily routines such as riding bicycles loaded with farm produces such bananas. You won’t also miss to see women carrying their children monkey style as they have them strapped in their backs. Upon your arrival to Queen Elizabeth park, you will make a brief stop at the lodge to pick your picnic lunch then drive to Mweya jetty where a relaxed boat cruise on the Kazinga channel awaits you.

This boat cruise allows you to have epic sightings of several of the wild mammals that call this park home such as Cape buffaloes, African elephants and several species of antelopes that come to this channel to have a drink. If you have a keen interest in birds, here lies your chance to spot several of the 600 species of birds that reside inside this park. At the end of this cruise, you will return to the lodge to relax for the rest of the day.

This day will see you being exposed to what Queen Elizabeth national park has to offer. You will kick off with an early morning game drive where you meet more of Uganda wildlife mammals which include lions, Cape buffaloes African elephants Topis Bush bucks. Your transfer to Bwindi will see you drive through the Ishasha sector and if you’re lucky, while here, you stand chances of seeing the tree climbing lions that are found in this sector of Queen Elizabeth park.

Today is the day you get to meet with the gorillas! With your armed ranger in the lead, embark on a trek, searching for your allocated gorilla family. On seeing the gorillas, you will be granted a full hour with these magical beings to watch them as they go about their daily lives and if you’re lucky you might get to see the young gorillas. From here, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you get to relax from the rather a bit tedious gorilla trekking experience.

On arrival to this beautiful tropical gem of the Kigezi highland, you will be fascinated by the tranquil waters of this lake and the numerous islands that are dotted all over this lake hence leading to its famous name The Lake of a Thousand Islands. Take a relaxing boat cruise on the waters of this lake as you are taken through the history behind several of these islands such as the Akampene island which is also known as the Punishment island where young girls who had got pregnant were thrown and left to die alone, the upside-down island which legend has it that it was cursed by an old lady when the young people who lived on that island refused to give her beer, she cursed it and it turned upside down hence having them all drowned. From this boat cruise, transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will wake up at 7:00am to the sweet melodies of birds that will be singing their hearts off to the dawn of a new day that are interjected with numerous wild mammal calls. Enjoy your perfectly crafted breakfast that comes with a warm cup of coffee or tea & an assortment of snacks while you appreciate nature’s work after which you will check out of the lodge.

During this return journey, you will make a lunch break at Igongo country hotel where you will get to enjoy a locally inspired lunch buffet. From Igongo you will make another enroute stop at the Equator which is 77km from Kampala where you get to have an equator experience on how to differentiate the Northern from the Southern hemispheres and also have a photo moment.
